Audience Area for NIGHT WATER SHOW CHAMPLOO DISCO

Concept

For this project, we oversaw the planning and design of a dedicated viewing area for NIGHT WATER SHOW CHAMPLOO DISCO, a nighttime water projection show launched in summer 2024 at Okinawa Zoo & Museum.

To create a unified visual identity across the park and offer the best possible viewing experience, we designed the area to surround “Mizutori no Ike,” the central pond where the show takes place. This layout allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of the NIGHT WATER SHOW.The design also incorporates universal accessibility and low-impact construction methods, with smooth transitions from the park’s existing waterplay deck. The space was developed to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests.
More than a seating installation, this project was part of a long-term strategy to enhance the overall appeal of the park. In addition to families with children, it aims to attract a wider range of visitors, including young adults and couples, by creating a vibrant nighttime destination.
By maximizing the potential of the area surrounding the central pond, we envisioned a future in which Okinawa Zoo & Museum welcomes more guests than ever before.
