Audience Area for NIGHT WATER SHOW CHAMPLOO DISCO

Concept	本プロジェクトでは、2024年夏に沖縄こどもの国に完成したナイトウォータープロジェクションショー「NIGHT WATER SHOW CHAMPLOO DISCO」を観覧するための専用エリアの設計およびデザイン監修を行いました。園全体の世界観を統一したデザイン設計と最適な観客体験の提供を目指し、ショーの舞台である園内中央に位置する「水鳥の池」をぐるりと囲むようなデザインを採用。これにより、「NIGHT WATER SHOW」の世界に没入できる鑑賞体験を実現しています。運営や環境負荷に配慮した工法の採用、既存の親水広場デッキからのスムーズな移動を可能にするユニバーサルな設計も取り入れ、来園者みんなが安全で快適に過ごせる場づくりを意識しました。本プロジェクトは、単なる客席スタンドの整備にとどまらず、園全体の魅力向上を見据えた長期的な構想をもってプランニングと提案を行いました。子どもや家族連れを中心とした従来のターゲットに加え、若年層やカップルなど、新たな大人の憩いの場としての機能も担えるよう、夜間のにぎわいづくりを図りました。園内の中心に位置する「水鳥の池」周辺エリアのポテンシャルを最大化し、沖縄こどもの国にこれまで以上に多くのお客様が訪れるような未来を描いております。 For this project, we oversaw the planning and design of a dedicated viewing area for NIGHT WATER SHOW CHAMPLOO DISCO, a nighttime water projection show launched in summer 2024 at Okinawa Zoo & Museum. To create a unified visual identity across the park and offer the best possible viewing experience, we designed the area to surround “Mizutori no Ike,” the central pond where the show takes place. This layout allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of the NIGHT WATER SHOW.The design also incorporates universal accessibility and low-impact construction methods, with smooth transitions from the park’s existing waterplay deck. The space was developed to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests. More than a seating installation, this project was part of a long-term strategy to enhance the overall appeal of the park. In addition to families with children, it aims to attract a wider range of visitors, including young adults and couples, by creating a vibrant nighttime destination. By maximizing the potential of the area surrounding the central pond, we envisioned a future in which Okinawa Zoo & Museum welcomes more guests than ever before.
